Description

Springfield is an early 19th century villa that has been altered and extended. The south front is stuccoed, with three bays and a slight central break, and features a parapet. It has sash windows with glazing bars, tripartite windows on the sides, with alterations to the ground floor windows and the first-floor window on the left. A tented verandah, with a lions' head gutter running along its entire length, extends across the front. Sun porches are located to the left and right of the central entrance, which is flanked by double-panelled pilasters. Inside, the contemporary staircase has a ramped rail, and there are fireplaces in a "period" style. A high retaining wall exists to the terrace on the north side.
