Description
No 128 on Buckingham Road is a farmhouse that dates from the early to mid 18th century, with possible earlier origins. It is a single storey building with an attic on the first floor, constructed from rendered brick. The side elevations reveal visible timber framing. The farmhouse features a steeply pitched thatched roof with a hipped design and brick chimneys. On the first floor, there are two wooden casement windows with glazing bars that are set into the eaves of the thatch. Flanking the plain doorway on the ground floor are two small 19th-century canted wooden bay windows with part slate roofs. To the right of the doorway, there is a low gabled projecting bay that has been added. There are also later extensions for an outbuilding at the rear.
