Description

Elm Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse, although it may be of earlier origin. It is likely constructed of brick with some timber framing, and is rough cast. It has a steep-pitched thatched roof that extends down at the west end over an outshut. The front facade features three windows, with the first-floor windows deeply “eyebrowed” and containing two-light wood casements. The ground floor has a five-pane sash window and two small two-light casements with small panes. The front door consists of four moulded panels and is sheltered by a gabled hood. An external chimney is located at the east end. Inside, the beams are mostly boxed in, and there is a bread oven within the outshut. Elm Farmhouse is part of the historic rural area of Far Bletchley and is situated as part of a group with numbers 139 to 143 (odd).
