Description
No. 141 Buckingham Road is a building with origins in the 17th century or possibly earlier, featuring a timber frame and having undergone 19th century and recent alterations. It appears to have originally been in an L shape, with the angle towards the road filled in during the early to mid-19th century, topped with a slate roof. The building is two storeys facing the road and one storey with an attic to the west, with a stuccoed and rendered exterior. The section with a steep pitch gable end roof was thatched until recently but has now been tiled.
There are two windows facing the road, which are flush framed sashes, with small panes in the ones beneath the gable. The ground floor on the left features a three-light casement. The west side has three modern dormers and two 19th century glazing bar sashes on the ground floor, along with a modern porch. Inside, there is a dog leg stair by the door, and the building retains rough hewn and moulded beams, with part of the roof structure possibly exposed. This property is part of the old rural area known as "Far Bletchley" and is grouped with Nos. 139 to 143 (odd).
