Description
Wistaria Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th to 17th century that has been altered. It features a timber frame with colourwashed brick infill and a stone gable wall, topped with a modern tiled roof and a central chimney. The west front has a door located opposite the chimney stack, with two small windows to the left and modern small paned casements with three and four lights to the right. On the first floor of the south gable, there is a two-light casement, while the east front includes a two-light casement and a one-storey lean-to addition on the right. Inside, there is a large stone chimney stack with an inglenook in the central room and a fireplace on the first floor, both featuring heavy chimney beams. The interior also showcases large spine beams and exposed timber framing.
