Description
Number 35 is a cottage located on Nearton End, dating from the late 16th to 17th century, with some alterations. It features a timber frame with whitewashed brick infill, and much of the ground floor and rear have been rebuilt in whitewashed brick. The cottage has a 20th-century tiled roof and brick chimneys situated between the right-hand bays and an external chimney on the left gable, which is also whitewashed.
The building is 1½ storeys tall and consists of three bays. On the ground floor of the north front, there are small barred wooden windows to the left and center, and a paired leaded casement window to the right. The first floor has a semi-dormer with a paired 19th-century wooden casement window at the center. To the right of the center bay, there is a six-panel door. A lean-to extension projects from the left of the center, featuring a paired leaded casement window. Inside, there is an altered fireplace with a plastered hood.
