Description

This is a house, originally built in the 18th century and subsequently subdivided. It is located at The Knoll in Sherington and presents as an L-shaped building. The construction is of coursed rubble stone with old tile roofs. Number 2, facing south, has two bays with 3-light casement windows featuring a central horizontal glazing bar. There are two hipped dormers above. A side entrance is present, with flanking chimney stacks. Modern shutters have been added. Number 3, facing east, has three bays, its outer bays featuring 3-light casement windows with a central horizontal glazing bar. Two hipped dormers are positioned above. The central bay incorporates smaller modern windows. A circa 1975 flat-roofed, 2-storey stone addition has been constructed.
