Description
The Small House is a house dated 1756. The left-hand portion is constructed of coursed rubble stone, while the remainder has old clay tile and thatched roofing. The building comprises three bays and two storeys, with two right-hand bays featuring eyebrow dormers. To the right is a four-bay barn that has been adapted into a garage and additional living space. The left-hand bay has a six-panel door on the right side, sheltered by a projecting cornice hood. It also features a three-light casement window. The next two bays have three-light casement windows and oak lintels, with two-light dormers that have tiled aprons. A datestone is positioned between the first-floor windows, bearing the inscription "W.B.L. 1756". The converted barn exhibits a stone-blocked cart entry, with two three-light casement windows on the ground floor and a single two-light casement window on the right-hand first floor. Gable elevations contain garage doors. A two-storey, colourwashed, slated rear wing extends from the north end.
