Description

Mercers Farmhouse is a house dated 1760, constructed from coursed rubblestone and topped with an old tile roof. It features three bays and stands two storeys high, with dormers. The south front was altered in the 19th century, showcasing a four-panel door located in the right-hand bay. This door is framed by a plain wide architraved doorcase, which has a flat hood supported by brackets. The building includes five-pane sash windows and a datestone positioned between the left-hand first-floor windows. There are two hipped dormers with coped gable ends and a flanking brick chimney. To the right, there is a single-storey wing, while a two-storey rear wing, also made of rubblestone, completes the structure.
