Description

This is an 18th-century house, formerly a public house, located on the west side of High Street in Sherington. It is constructed of colourwashed rubblestone with an old tile roof. The building has three bays spread over two storeys, with dormers above. The entrance is off-centre, featuring a six-panel door set within an architrave surround topped with a frieze and cornice hood. The outer bays have canted, flat-roofed bay windows with sash windows; the first floor windows are three-pane sashes, while the central bay lacks corresponding windows. Two flat-roofed dormers are situated over the outer bays. The gable ends are coped, and there are chimney stacks at the sides.
