Description

Wakes Cottage is a small farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with some alterations. It is constructed of coursed rubblestone and has a concrete pantile roof. The building has two bays and stands two storeys high. There is a door on the left side that leads into a lobby in front of the stack. The ground floor features three-light casement windows, while the first floor has two-light casements. Above the door, there is a small single light window that serves a closet in front of the stack at the first floor level. The cottage has flanking brick stacks and a rear wing at the northeast.
