Description

NEWTON ST CYRES WEST TOWN ROAD SX 89 NE 5/53 Guerins - GV II Small farmhouse. Probably C17. Cob walls on rubble plinth (plastered on front to south-east). Left-hand gable rebuilt with late C19 brick. Two cob stacks project to rear and have been topped with brick above the eaves. Thatched roof. 2 storeys. 3 rooms to ground floor and 2 front doors. 4 C19 casements to ground floor, 3 to first. Interior has C19 and early C20 fittings which hide original plan and features.
