Description
Glebe House is a house that was formerly a rectory, built in the early to mid 19th century. It has a stuccoed exterior and features exposed brick stacks above a slate roof. The building is square in shape, with two storeys and attic rooms in the roof space. It has a single roof with a flat central portion and a low pitch to the eaves, along with half-gables at each end. The end stacks are positioned towards the front of the house.
The symmetrical front faces southeast and is accented by rusticated quoins at the corners. There are two windows on the front: French windows on the ground floor and 16-pane sash windows on the first floor. The eaves project on shaped brackets. The main entrance is located on the left side (southwest) and features a porch in a debased Tuscan style supported by bulbous columns. The fenestration includes a large ground floor window made of Ham stone, which is an upright three-light mullion-and-transom window, along with other 16-pane sashes and casements. The house is included for its group value.
