Description

Old Shuttern Bridge is a footbridge located in Newton St Cyres, dating from the 18th century, with later additions of iron railings. The bridge is constructed from uncoursed veined volcanic trap and features a narrow single-span design with an elliptical arch supported by low abutments. A cobbled pathway leads to the bridge, which is bordered by plain iron railings set in concrete.
