Description
Little Beams is a cottage that was formerly used as stables, likely built in the 18th century and modernized in the mid-20th century. It features plastered cob on rubble footings, a brick stack, and a thatched roof. This small, two-storey cottage is attached to the southwest end of Old Beams. It has a one-room plan with the stack located in the end wall. The roof continues the pitch of the adjoining house and has a hipped end. There is a door to the left with a porch that has a hipped, thatched roof, and each floor has one 20th-century casement window. The first-floor window breaks into the eaves, and the pitch of the main roof has been raised to accommodate this upper window. To the left, there is a single-storey brick extension. Little Beams was formerly the stables of Old Beams and is included for its group value.
