Description

Numbers 2 to 4 Gayhurst Court Mews is a former stable block dating from the 17th century that has been altered and is now used as houses. The building is constructed of stone and features a hipped tiled roof with five dormers; the central dormer has a segmental pediment, while the outer ones are triangular. It is one storey high with an attic and consists of five bays. The central bay contains a rusticated niche with a semicircular arched head, and the flanking bays have doorways with architrave surrounds, above which are large oval windows also set in architrave surrounds. There is a string course above, moulded stone eaves, and a plinth. The flank and rear walls were rebuilt in ironstone around 1975.
