Description
Post Office Cottage and Old Cottage is a terrace of two cottages dating from the 18th century. They are built of rubblestone and feature thatched roofs with three stone and brick chimneys. The cottages are two storeys high and have four first-floor two-light casements that rise slightly into the thatch.
Post Office Cottage, on the left, has two bays with a central door beneath a flat hood supported by posts, and a three-light wood casement window on the right, with a two-light window on the left. Old Cottage, on the right, is similar in style, featuring a six-panelled central door with a flat hood on cut brackets, a five-paned fixed light window on the right, and a two-light casement on the left. The first floor has a small paned casement on the left and leaded glazing on the right.
There is a two-storey extension to the right, constructed of stone with a slate roof, which includes a three-light leaded casement on the first floor, a door on the ground floor, and modern casements on the gable end.
