Description
The walls, balustrades, gates, and statues in the gardens to the southwest and northwest of Tyringham Hall were created in 1909, or possibly 1926, by the architect Edwin Lutyens. The southwest garden features a sunken area with low rubblestone walls, two sets of iron gates leading to the park, balustrading, and a central statue of a goddess adorned with flowers, which is set on a square plinth. On the northwest front of the house, there is additional balustrading and four sets of steps, with the central set being semicircular.
