Description

The Spring is a structure located on the east side of Newport Road in Gayhurst, built before 1793 as part of Repton's landscape design. It features a rectangular stone base with semicircular ends and a moulded plinth, which includes a hole for water at the base and a rectangular stone basin below. Surrounding the spring are wrought iron railings adorned with arrowheads and urns. One of the stone urns has been broken from its base.
