Description

This is a former stable block, dating from the 18th century, which has been converted into dwellings. It originally served as an ancillary building to number 20. The building is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with some blue headers and rubbed flat arches, and has a stone plinth. It features a hipped tile roof and brick dentil eaves.

The eastern facade, which faces South Street, presents a symmetrical appearance with a blind arcade of three bays extending over two storeys, containing three windows. The upper lunettes have sash windows, and the ground floor has sashes set within reveals. A doorway is topped by a pedimented hood over an architrave, which now contains a 20th-century door. Two gate piers mark the southern boundary. The south-facing return elevation exhibits vernacular architectural details.
