Description

This is a single-aisled barn located 10 metres south west of King's Hill Farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, featuring a 20th-century replacement tile roof on the north side, while the south retains original Kent tiles. The barn has a half hipped roof with cart doors under a gabled hood on the north side. It consists of five bays and is aisled on the south side. The roof structure includes a queen-post truss with pairs of straight braces connecting the main posts to the main truss. The framed walls are designed with mid-rails and braces, and it has a through purlin, ridgeless roof.
