Description
Nos 65 and 65A on High Street in Rochester is a house and shop with a facade dating from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of red brick and features a Kent tile roof, with a rebuilt stack on the right side. It stands 2½ storeys tall and has a regular two-window arrangement. The upper floor windows have rubbed brick flat arches and stone sills, with 6-pane hornless sashes on the second floor and 12-pane hornless sashes on the first floor. The shop front includes a dentilled cornice and console brackets, with a half-glazed door to the right and a panelled door to the left, both featuring rectangular overlights, the left one with leaded panes. There is a 20th-century shop window with glazing bars and a panelled plinth. The rear of the building has renewed hornless sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
