Description
Nos 1, 2, and 3 College Yard are three houses, one of which includes a shop, dating from the 18th century. The front is made of brick and features a gabled end roof covered with Kent tiles, which runs parallel to the street. The buildings are 2½ storeys tall and have a parapet with stone coping. Each house has one hornless sash window in an exposed frame, with six panes on the upper floor and twelve panes on the first floor. There is a continuous shop fascia supported by coupled console brackets. Nos 1 and 2 have external shutters, with No 2 featuring a twelve-pane sash window. Both have panelled doors with rectangular overlights. No 3 has a shop window with a bowed sill and later glazing, along with a 20th-century glazed door. The buildings also have two large brick ridge stacks.
