Description
Coombe Farm Cottage is an early 17th century lobby entry house with two bays. It is constructed of stone rubble, with some ironstone and ashlar dressings. The cottage features a half-hipped thatched roof and a central brick chimney stack. It has one storey and attics, with two windows. The gable ends include kneelers, and there is a triple casement window in the dormer, along with renewed casements on the ground floor. A 19th century stone, brick, and slate gabled porch is present. Inside, the cottage has a spine beam with a 3-inch chamfer, featuring a spade-shaped stop on the right side and a lamb's tongue stop on the left. The kitchen includes a large fireplace with a wooden bressumer, wide oak floorboards, and plank doors.
