Description
Myrtle Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed clunch blocks with red brick dressings and features a tiled roof with end brick stacks. The building has two storeys and attics, with three windows. The windows are 20th-century wooden casements set in the original cambered headed surrounds. The entrance includes a cambered headed doorcase with a 19th-century four-panelled door, where the top two panels are glazed. There is also a 19th-century porch that has a tiled roof, fretted bargeboards, and trelliswork supports. Attached to the right side of the cottage is a mid-19th-century outbuilding, which is a single storey made of coursed clunch with a slate roof. This outbuilding features an early 20th-century triple casement window and a Gothic-style studded door with an arch incorporated into a rectangular door frame.
