Description

House, dating from the 17th century. It is constructed from Isle of Wight stone rubble with ashlar quoins and some red brick dressings. The roof is half-hipped and thatched, featuring a central brick chimneystack. The house is two storeys high, with an attic in the west gable end, and has two windows on the north elevation. The front elevation has 20th-century casement windows set within original brick surrounds, a central doorcase featuring a slightly curved wooden bressumer and a modern door flanked by two brick buttresses. A smaller casement window is on the ground floor to the left. The right-side gable displays an original wooden mullioned window in the attic. A 20th-century extension is on the left side. The interior includes two stone open fireplaces and a chamfered spine beam.
