Description

Heath Cottage is a house, with its west end dating back to the 18th century and its east end built in the early 19th century. The walls are of coursed stone rubble, with patches of ironstone, and the roof is thatched, featuring brick chimneystacks. The west part of the house is single storey with attics, and has two windows. A central brick stack is present. The attic window is Gothic-pointed. On the ground floor, there is an early 19th century 12-pane sash window in an earlier surround, featuring a keystone. A modern porch is on the right side. The east side of the house is of a higher elevation and is L-shaped. A projecting gable to the left has a 3-light casement window with pointed lights. The ground floor of this section has an early 19th century 3-light sash window with a thatched hood above.
