Description

Moortown Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located in Brighstone. It is constructed from Isle of Wight stone rubble and is rendered. The cottage features a half-hipped thatched roof with a brick chimneystack. It has one and a half storeys, with the attic containing two three-light casements; the left one has old glass and leaded lights. On the ground floor, there are two casements and a cross-shaped iron tie. There is a modern gabled weather porch, and to the right, there is a modern flat-roofed extension that is not of special interest.
