Description

Brighstone Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located in Brighstone. It is constructed from Isle of Wight stone rubble, featuring some ironstone and red brick dressings. The cottage has a half-hipped thatched roof with brick stacks at each end. Originally, it consisted of two storeys and two windows, with an additional bay added to the right. The original window openings now contain later casements, with cambered arches on the ground floor. The cottage also features eyebrow dormers and a thatched porch supported by rustic posts, along with a plank door. At the rear, there is a catslide roof.
