Description
Hither Farm Cottage is an early 17th-century cottage built from rubble stone and topped with a stone slate roof, featuring a stack at the north end. The building is one and a half storeys high with an attic and has a two-room layout with a central cross passage. The west front includes a door with a pair of casement windows to the left and a single casement window to the right. The south gable has 20th-century windows on each floor. The east front features a ground floor door and a pair of casement windows, with a hipped dormer above set to the right. Inside, there are two collar trusses with curved principals, and in the north room, there is a ground floor beam that is chamfered and stopped, along with a winding stair located in the angle by the fireplace. The cottage also has plank doors.
