Description

This 18th-century bridge spans the River Marden, a tributary of the River Avon. It is constructed from coursed limestone and features dressed stone arch-rings and piers. The bridge has three spans, with the center span being wider, and is supported by segmental arches on stone piers. The bases of the piers are made of stone rubble, with narrower ashlar piers above that include small cutwaters and imposts. Notably, there are no parapets on the bridge. Graffiti on the structure includes inscribed dates of 1774, 1776, and 1784.
