Description

WHIPPINGHAM ROAD 1. 5270 Whippingham Barton Manor Cottages (Nos 1 and 2) SZ 59 SW 7/134 25.1.72. II GV 2. Circa 1850-60. Neo-Jacobean style, formerly part of stables. One storey stone rubble with irregular stone quoins. Possibly re-used earlier masonry. Gable and tiled roof with clustered brick chimneystack, the gables with saddlestones and kneelers, the wall raised above eaves with chamfered coping. Central slightly projecting gabled bay. Stone mullioned 2-light casements. Ledged doors to centre with 2 windows set higher up between. Picturesque. Form a group.
