Description
This is a late 18th century cottage ornée located in Calbourne, built from coursed stone rubble with yellow brick dressings. The cottage features a hipped slate roof with a central stock brick chimney stack. It is a single storey building with three windows on the front elevation, which includes two five-sided casements with original wooden shutters and a central blank filled with flint. The right side elevation has a similarly shaped casement with shutters and a plank door set in a five-sided wooden surround. The left side elevation has one five-sided casement and another flint-filled blank. There is a lean-to addition at the rear. Inside, the cottage has original plank doors, although the fireplaces were replaced in the 20th century. At the time of the survey in 1988, the cottage was derelict.
