Description

No. 75 Marine Parade is a terraced house built in the early 19th century. It features a stucco exterior with a roof that is obscured by a parapet. The building has three storeys and an attic above a basement, with a two-window range. The ground floor showcases banded, chamfered rustication, while there is a storey band between the second floor and the attic, along with a plain band at the attic level. All windows are flat arched, with those on the first, second, and attic floors having architraves. The first-floor verandah is currently being reconstructed and is adorned with cast-iron railings in a Gothic pattern. The entryway, located on the left return, is round arched and features a fanlight with glazing bars arranged in a pattern of intersecting pointed and ogee Gothic arches, along with an architrave around the door, set in a rounded, rebated recess. There is a stack on the end wall gable. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of a group with Nos. 68, 69, and 73-89 Marine Parade, and Nos. 1-14 Royal Crescent.
