Description
31 and 31A Meeting House Lane is a corner house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The exterior features stucco that is scored to imitate ashlar. It has a two-span slate roof with gables facing south and stands two storeys tall. Each elevation has a one-window range. The ground floor has a shop front designed in the 19th century, which was rebuilt in the 20th century. There is one flat-arched window on the first floor of each elevation, with the window on the south side located under the right-hand span of the roof. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of an important group with Nos 1-12, 22-30, 32, 36-41, and 43-53 Meeting House Lane, which is at the heart of the Old Town known as The Lanes.
