Description

Numbers 7 and 8 Norfolk Road are a pair of early 19th-century terraced houses. They are constructed of stucco, scored to resemble ashlar on Number 7, with roofs hidden behind a parapet. Each house is three storeys high with a basement, and has a three-window front, dominated by a broad, segmental bay window. Number 7 has a flat-arched entrance with an overlight and an original panelled door. All windows are flat-arched with 6/6 sash windows, mostly original, though some on Number 7 have been replaced. A blank window sits above the entrance to Number 7. The houses are divided by storey bands on the upper two floors. Number 7 and 8 feature canted balconies with cast-iron railings on the two left-hand windows of Number 7 and the two outer windows of Number 8. A cornice and blocking course run along the top of the façade, and stacks are situated within the party walls. The interior was not inspected. Cast-iron area railings with spearhead finials are attached to Number 8.
