Description

No. 9 Bristol Gardens is a house, now divided into flats, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of brick in English bond, featuring gauged brick lintels and stucco-cement dressings, with a slate roof. The building has two storeys and a two-window range. In the center, there is a flat-arched entrance set under an aedicule with a pediment, and the jambs are plain and rebated. All windows are flat arched with projecting sills, featuring glazing bars and sashes of an original design: the ground-floor windows have a 3 x 6 configuration, while the first-floor windows have a 3 x 3 configuration. The first floor is topped by an entablature with a projecting cornice. There are stacks at the end and party walls. This listing does not include the two-storey addition to the right, which has the address No. 9A Bristol Gardens. The interior has not been inspected.
