Description

This mid-to-late 19th-century gas standard was later converted to an electric light standard in the early 20th century. It is constructed of cast iron. The fluted, tapering shaft rises from the pavement to a cylindrical impost block. A single maintenance arm projects from the top of the shaft at a right angle. Above a rectangular circuit box is a swan-necked arm with a scroll bracket and a shallow dish reflector.
