TQ3303NW SUSSEX SQUARE 577-1/50/882 (North side) 02/04/92 Lamp post in front of No.28 (Formerly Listed as: SUSSEX SQUARE Gas standard in front of No.28)

Gas standard. Mid to late C19, converted to electric light standard in early C20. Cast-iron. Fluted tapering shaft rises from pavement to cylindrical impost block. Single maintenance arm projects from the top of the shaft at right angles to it. Above is a rectangular circuit box from which rises a swan-necked arm with scroll bracket and shallow dish reflector.
