House, now shop and offices. Early C19. Red brick in Flemish bond, stucco dressings. Roof of slate turnerised. 3 storeys with 2 dormer windows. 4-window range. Flat-arched entrance to the right party wall is, like the rest of the ground floor, of late C20. The range above the entrance is recessed slightly behind the rest of the facade; the narrow window to each floor in this range is blocked. All windows are flat arched, those to first floor in the main part of the elevation have eared architraves; each second-floor window has an architrave and an entablature. 6 x 6 sashes of original design to all upper floor windows. 3 x 3 sashes of original design to 2 flat-arched dormers. Between the first- and second-floor windows and stretching nearly the full length of the 3 windows is a moulded, rectangular sign panel of stucco, which bears the words "Estate Office". Entablature with projecting cornice continuous across the facade. Parapet above. Stacks to party walls. INTERIOR: not inspected. No.4 forms a group with Nos 1, 3, 5 and 6 Bartholomews (qv).
