Description
Numbers 10-13 Powis Villas are a group of terraced houses built around 1840. They are constructed of stucco with slate roofs. The houses are two storeys high with a basement, each having a single-window front. Numbers 10 and 13 have entrances in their returns, framed by pilasters and an entablature, with flat arches above. Numbers 11 and 12 have flat-arched entrances with overlights. All the windows are flat-arched and tripartite. A continuous verandah extends along the ground floor, supported by columns with stepped capitals, cast-iron railings, and concave canopies. A storey band runs along the front, and console brackets support the eaves cornice. The roofs are hipped, with chimneys situated on the party walls. Number 13 has a segmental bay on the first floor to the return. The interior has not been inspected. Cast-iron railings are situated on the steps, and stucco garden walls with moulded coping and square, corniced gate piers are present in the setting.
