Description
The Young Monument is a chest tomb located approximately 5 metres east of the east end of the Church of All Saints in Binfield. It dates from the mid-19th century and serves as a memorial to the Young family. The tomb is made of stone and features a rectangular shape in Gothic style. It has a plain rectangular base with a moulded plinth, cusped panels on the sides with pointed arched heads, decorative spandrels, a foliage frieze, and a moulded top. On the south side, there is a commemorative inscription, while the west side displays a carved coat of arms. The inscription commemorates Florance Thomas Young of Binfield Park and his wife, who died in 1855.
