Description
St Michael's Cottage, located to the southeast of the churchyard of the Church of St Michael and All Angels, is a cottage dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the mid-20th century. The structure features a timber frame with painted brick infill panels and has an old tile gabled roof.
The cottage has a rectangular plan consisting of three framed bays and stands one and a half storeys high. It is distinguished by two offset end chimneys that have corniced heads and clay pots. The south entrance front is irregular, featuring two windows—one on the left with two lights and one on the right with three lights. Between these windows is a plain wooden entrance door, which has a three-light overlight that interrupts the timber frame. Additionally, there are two hipped dormers, each with three-light windows. The first floor displays close studding in the first and second framed bays, along with straight braces and posts. The interior has not been inspected.
