Description
The Parish Room, located to the south of the churchyard of the Church of St Michael and All Angels, is a former church house dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill panels and has an old tile gabled roof. The building has a long rectangular plan consisting of eight framed bays and is a single-storey structure.
The north entrance front includes four windows and two offset chimneys, with the left chimney being larger. There is a 20th-century wooden plank door with a small glazed panel on the left, and a similar door on the right leading to a small enclosed porch with a lean-to roof.
Inside, the Parish Room showcases an exposed queen post roof with curved windbraces and clasped purlins, along with chamfered arched-braces to the ties.
