Description

The Parish Rooms, located on the south side of the church yard, were originally a grammar school and date back to 1639. They have been restored and altered in the 19th century. The building is constructed from coursed rubble and features a stone slate roof. It is a single-storey, single-cell structure.

The entrance, located to the right, has a chamfered surround and a lintel that is dated. To the left of the entrance are two mid or late 19th-century windows with rock-faced surrounds and 20th-century casements. A tall ornamental ashlar chimney stack on the left has a gabled cap with lucarnes.

On the rear, there are two transomed chamfered windows, each with three over three lights, where the lower lights are taller. The right side of the building features a four-light double-chamfered window with a hoodmould, which has restored mullions and sill and may have been raised. There is also a small double-chamfered light in the gable apex that has been restored. A 20th-century addition to the left is not of special interest.
