Description

Bute Lodge is an early 19th-century villa located on Park Road in East Twickenham. It is a distinguished building, constructed of stuccoed walls with two and three storeys. The roof is slated, with wide eaves and a higher, gabled central section. This central section features a pilastered bow on the ground storey and a roofed verandah above, overlooking a round-arched window in the gable. The villa is flanked by modelled wings, one window wide, with secondary wings designed in a matching style. Original iron window guards are a notable feature. A modern extension to the rear of the property is not of historical interest.
