Description
Sandycombe Lodge is a building designed by the artist J M W Turner, constructed in the early 19th century. It is made of brick and painted white, featuring two storeys above a basement. The lodge has a low-pitched slated roof with wide eaves. The central bay has a gable roof and wide eaves, with one window and an iron balcony on the front. The lower flanking wings are set back from the main facade. Turner resided in this lodge from 1804 to 1826.
