Description
Willoughby House is an early to mid-19th century, two-storey Italianate villa featuring a campanile. It has two-storey brick extensions that connect to a range of shops facing Richmond Road, which may include remnants of a stable range. The building is constructed of stone with a slate roof and is four bays wide. The left-hand pier has square-headed moulded windows. The tower, located in the third bay and set forward, has a battered base, a balcony, a bellcote, and consoled eaves. To the right of the tower are two bays with moulded windows and a balcony. The main entrance features a round-headed, rusticated door on the side of the tower. There is a return to the right with a two-storey balconyed bar window and prominent bracketed eaves. The property has been recently restored.
