Description
Christies is an 18th-century building that was altered in the early to mid-19th century. It features painted brick with rusticated stucco on the ground floor. The building stands three storeys tall with dormers and has six windows facing Bridge Street. There is a later addition to the south that is of no interest. The entrance is located to the right in a projecting 19th-century extension with four bays, the center of which extends into the first floor. This part has moulded windows, while the remaining ground floor windows are sashed and square-headed with gauged brick. There is a brick band above the first floor. The building has a return that is two windows wide facing Hill Rise. It is included partly for group value with Nos 3-17 Hill Rise.
