Description

South Lodge of Harts Hospital is a mid-19th century building located on the east side of High Road in Woodford Green. It stands two storeys tall and is constructed of ashlar stone, featuring sandstone long and short quoins. The building has a decorative stringcourse and cornice with a guilloche pattern. On the ground floor, there is a bay of three windows topped with a slated pentice roof. The first-floor window consists of two lights, each flanked by pilasters and supported by projecting brackets. The gable is adorned with ornamentation at the apex and angles, and the side walls have wide projecting eaves.
